Acupuncture for Pain Relief
in Winnipeg

Personalized acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine care for back pain, sciatica, shoulder pain, neck pain, knee pain, elbow pain, and other musculoskeletal concerns in Winnipeg.
At All Balance Wellness Centre, we provide individualized acupuncture care for people experiencing acute or persistent pain, muscle tension, stiffness, and mobility-related discomfort. Treatment is tailored to the location and nature of your pain, your symptoms, health history, and other contributing factors.

How We Approach Pain & Musculoskeletal Conditions

Pain can have many different presentations. Some people experience localized muscle or joint pain, while others may have pain that radiates, changes with movement, or is accompanied by stiffness, tension, numbness, or reduced mobility.

Our approach begins with an individualized assessment of the location, pattern, severity, and duration of your symptoms, as well as movement, activity, previous injuries, and overall health. Acupuncture treatment is then tailored to your individual presentation rather than using the same approach for every type of pain.

Common Pain Conditions

Back Pain
Acupuncture care for lower or upper back pain, muscle tightness, stiffness, and discomfort associated with movement or prolonged sitting or standing.

Sciatica & Radiating Leg Pain
Care for pain that may begin in the lower back or buttock and travel into the hip or leg, sometimes accompanied by tightness, tingling, or numbness.

Shoulder Pain & Frozen Shoulder
Acupuncture care for shoulder pain, muscle tension, restricted range of motion, and stiffness. This may include frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis), where shoulder movement can become painful and progressively restricted. Treatment is individualized according to your pain, mobility, stage of the condition, and overall presentation.

Neck Pain & Muscle Tension
Care for neck stiffness, muscle tightness, limited range of motion, and neck pain that may also be associated with shoulder tension or headaches.

Knee Pain
Individualized acupuncture care for knee pain, stiffness, discomfort with walking or stairs, and symptoms associated with activity or overuse.

Elbow & Forearm Pain
Care for elbow and forearm pain associated with repetitive use, muscle or tendon irritation, including symptoms commonly described as tennis elbow or golfer’s elbow.

Hip Pain
Acupuncture care for hip and surrounding muscle discomfort, stiffness, and pain associated with movement, prolonged sitting, or activity.

Acute Pain and Persistent Pain

Pain may develop suddenly after an injury or overuse, or it may gradually become a persistent problem. Some people have pain only with certain movements, while others experience ongoing stiffness, aching, muscle tension, or symptoms that repeatedly return.

Treatment is individualized according to how your pain started, where it is located, what aggravates or relieves it, how it affects movement and daily activities, and how the symptoms have changed over time.

When Pain Keeps Coming Back

Recurrent pain is often influenced by more than one factor. Previous injuries, repetitive activity, posture, muscle tension, physical workload, sleep, stress, and overall health may all contribute to how symptoms develop or persist.

At All Balance Wellness Centre, we look at the overall pattern rather than focusing only on the painful area. Acupuncture treatment is adjusted according to your current symptoms, movement, response to treatment, and changes over time.

When Medical Assessment Is Important

Acupuncture is intended to complement appropriate medical care. New, severe, or unexplained pain — particularly pain following a significant injury, sudden weakness or numbness, loss of bowel or bladder control, fever, unexplained weight loss, or pain that is rapidly worsening — should be medically assessed.
